Luckily I already know what can be done with it. We tried it on various occasions with the optics we developed at allsky.de for fulldome capture, and so I am eager to see just how fast one can make a fulldome movie. Theoretically all I still need is a plane ticket, a tent and a rental car to start with my first production.

Children, don’t try this at home!

It cost me a fair amount of money to build this whole thing, I just won’t tell you how much it was. In the end, I practically built two domes judging from all the failed attempts that lie around in my parents’ garage and in my bosse’s laboratories. Maybe I will add a page on “how not to build a dome”.

In the future, there will also be pages on the fulldome video live capture projects that we are currently doing at allsky.de. Live capture is extremely fun, although it keeps me from studying geology…
